First off before we get into a bit more about myself and what I do and so on, just want to say a big thank you for checking out my website! I put lots of time and effort into my work and I really hope you enjoy!
My names John, as you probably guessed, and I am a self taught (with a few fingers pointing me the right way) freelance graphics designer and video editor. I started up this freelance business, aged 17, towards the end of January 2022. I always had a dream to become one of the top YouTube content creators, and after several years of uploading on YouTube I reassessed the situation, "Why do I actually enjoy YouTube?". I came to the conclusion that making videos wasn't for me, however I really enjoyed the behind the scenes aspect of it. Just by chance, I stumbled across a YouTube creator, named Milkydinho, looking for someone to be his YouTube editor, I dropped him a message, and next thing you know, I find myself editing videos for 3-4 people consistently, with the odd newcomer coming in for single projects. I kept marketing myself and eventually found myself editing videos day in day out for multiple clients. However that wasn't enough for me, I then expanding into making thumbnails for people, making logos, banners, you name it!
After a while, an opportunity for an apprenticeship came up within marketing, which I jumped at. Marketing was the perfect balance between working on graphics and video editing, while learning how to grow a business. I am still in the process of completing said apprenticeship.
Using a mix of both knowledge gained from marketing, and my experiences throughout lockdown, JBDesign was born! I am now looking to broaden my experience and will take on work from any field. I will turn your requirements into a high quality, engaging video or graphic. I can do social media images, professional logos & banners, and any type of videos.
In terms of what I do with the rest of my time, in all honesty, there's really not much to it. I would call myself a bit of a gaming enthusiast, I play a range of games, none of which I am particularly good at, but it's not the winning that matters, it's the enjoyment. Although some would argue games are a lot more fun when you are winning, which I couldn't agree with more!
I also used to play cricket, both for town and county, however did take a break last year. Who knows whether I make a return this year.
If you managed to read through all that without clicking off the page, I am extremely impressed. But that's about all the waffle I have for you, enjoy your stay at JBDesign and feel free to contact me with any queries whatsoever.
Cheers,
John
